About the Instructor
Photography has been my passion since I first got my start with a 35mm SLR film camera and a black and white darkroom, a very long time ago. More years than I care to mention. I have been very blessed to have the opportunity to pursue photography as both an avocation and professional occupation. In March of 2003 I began Picture Ohio, LLC and since that I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience, from the variety of commercial and editorial assignments I've completed for a wide range of clients in both for-profit and non-profit industries to art installations and showings of my work in fine art nature and landscape photography to stock image licensing to regional and national publishers of magazines and books. In 2009 I began a regular program of photography instruction and workshops with an emphasis on nature and landscape photography with the digital SLR camera.

Note: There are no guarantees that the advice, tips and resources provided through consultation will lead to success, whether it be awards, sales or publication. Although photography involves a great deal of learned technical knowledge, ultimately it is the talent, determination, commitment, and creative skills of the individual photographer - not to mention the unique characteristics and current economic condition of his or her target market - that will determine success.
